Welcome aboard the USS Yorktown, NCC-82002

Welcome aboard the Federation starship Yorktown: a legend within Starfleet as well as a prominent member of its exploratory arm. The Yorktown is primarily responsible for deep space exploration and scientific discoveries throughout our galaxy. These missions include, but are not limited to scientific discovery, first contact assignments, discovering new life and new civilizations, deep space incursions and tactical assignments. As a member of the Fourth Fleet, code-named Bravo Fleet, the Yorktown is assigned to it's Task Force 38; the Yorktown operates primarily in the depths of the Delta Quadrant. This is not to say the Yorktown does not get assignments from Starfleet Command which forces them into other areas of the galaxy. However, the familiarity with the area has proven a good ally to the crew of the ship.

The Yorktown is a collaborative writing simulation set in the Star Trek universe during the year 2389, a decade after the events of Star Trek: Nemesis. In an attempt to evolve the way Star Trek writers construct their creativity, we collaboratively and in a constructive, familiar way with one another's characters. This also gives us an opportunity to come together and write with one another in a way never before. So far as to use one another's characters in a limited fashion, as well as constantly bring in other characters to enhance the overall storyline.

Signed,
Captain Elizabeth Ashcroft
Commanding Officer
USS Yorktown

As the turbolift descended to its destination, it came to a sudden stop well short of where it was intended. On walked an all-too-familiar face to Elizabeth. "Hello doctor," the captain smirked as Doctor Khorasani stepped slowly onto the turbolift. "Where to?"

"Rounds," Jasna replied lightly, an impish smile on…

Elizabeth walked out of her ready room and onto the bridge, the command center more barren than usual. “Report?” she asked aimlessly.

Ensign Branson reported from the helm station, “We’re in position at the outer edge of the solar system. All away teams are gone, all shuttles and runabouts are…

Fifteen minutes before the scheduled briefing, Marian entered the Briefing Room first. It had been that way since he had arrived aboard, except when he was deep in the Jefferies Tubes or the ship had taken damage. Fifteen minutes early, every meeting, like clockwork. He didn’t notice the door shutting…

Mission: On the Horizon
Posted on Sat Dec 15th, 2018 @ 12:43am by Lieutenant Commander Marian Downe & Lieutenant Bral

Like most large starships of the line, Yorktown had a massive main engineering section which was a constant hub of activity. Taking up over half a deck, main engineering was designed with Starfleet precision and uniformity. At its heart stood the dilithium matrix, primary warp core control panel, the benamite…
